Ísafjörður cruise port
Customer destination: Ísafjörður / Isafjordur. Cruise-port authority: Ísafjarðarbær harbour. This is not Reykjavik, not Akureyri, and not a generic Westfjords brand.
Berths and anchorage
Official municipal schedules list specific berths. Preserve them as written:
- Sundabakki (including numbered/year variants such as Sundabakki 1 2005, Sundabakki 2 2022, Sundabakki 3 1990)
- Mávagarður
- Ásgeirsbakki
- Akkeri — anchorage; treat as a tender call at row level
Ísafjörður has both docked and anchorage calls. We never assign the whole destination a single dock/tender status.
Þingeyri is not Ísafjörður
The municipality may publish cruise activity at Þingeyri on the same administrative pages. Those calls are not Ísafjörður berths and are excluded from this site’s public Ísafjörður schedule.
What the 2026 table shows
172 published Ísafjörður calls after Þingeyri exclusion and duplicate cleanup — 136 docked and 36 Akkeri/tender.
On days with more than about 3,000 passengers, the municipality notes vehicle restrictions on Hafnarstræti. Expect busier pier and town conditions on multi-ship days.
Getting into town
When alongside in Ísafjörður, the harbour sits close to the town centre. Anchorage calls require tendering before that walk begins — use your ship’s published times and onboard instructions.
